PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME, "WHY ARE YOU SO POSITIVE?" "WHY ARE YOU SO KIND?"
SOMETIMES, EVEN IF YOU'RE PLAYING A FAIR GAME, LIFE DEALS YOUR HAND FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE DECK. IT SUCKS, BUT IT HAPPENS TO THE BEST OF US. SOME OF US IT CAN BE SOO SIMPLE LIKE MAYBE YOU DON'T HAVE A DATE FOR THAT DANCE OR YOUR PARTNER CANCELED ON YOU. MAYBE IT'S THAT QUIZ AT SCHOOL IN THE MORNING OR SOMEONE BORROWED YOUR PENCIL AND DIDN'T RETURN IT. IT COULD BIGGER SAY YOUR BEST FRIEND WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT OR A LOVED ONE HAS PASSED AWAY. MAYBE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER HAS CHEATED ON YOU OR YOUR FIRED FROM YOUR JOB. LET ME TELL YOU WHY I'M SO POSITIVE. :)
1. I evaluate my situation:
What's causing the pain you are feeling? How do you feel? This is going to be key to working your way back to positive territory. If I find myself in situational for example a flat tire. I used to get soo angry and upset but now, I don't. I realize its not a big deal. Esp if you are prepared for something like that and have the proper tools then really shouldn't be a big deal, right? Life is about the journey no matter what happens. So just get out get the tools and get it done, you never know what may happen during that time. Your fairy god mother may appear! Seriously, Just make sure you are prepared for what may happen. If it's physical or mental such as being depressed or bipolar. I know a lot of people who who suffer from this and I never really fully understand why, but let me tell ya something and hopefully it helps. As you may know and I know, your journey is going to be an ongoing battle because depression will undermine even the strongest hearts, you will need help to maintain and be reminded of being positive and rather taking the medication and therapy route why not just fill your life with positive things, like people, you can't be around downer and unhappy people, that's just setting yourself up! So, try filling your life with positive things such as people or getting involved with community events. I have recently changed my facebook by un-following a lot of people who has a lot of negative energy in their lives, so even if its something small as that, take an hour in your time and fix it up. After seeing a week of seeing fun, happy, positive statuses on my news-feed its been so much better.
2. Dont. Give. Up!
Remember, you can quit but quitting's a very hard habit to break. You may have a hard time sure, but there are other people out there who have it a heck of a lot worse than you, so ask yourself, do you really have it that hard. As said above, if you fill your life with great and positive people than they will push your limits for you to do things to better your life and will help with what they can.
3. Keep a healthy lifestyle. Body. Mind, and Spirit:
Remember if you have pets give them some love! There is nothing like the unconditional love and loyalty of a pet. They can feel when something isn't quite right with you so by taking them on a run or walk, playing with them like the amusing game all dogs love is that fake ball throwing haha! Or shining a light at your cat and watch them go crazy bananas! It may not solve the problem but it will give your mind a rest from forgetting and when you come back at it, it will be much easier to focus plus gives your pet some great exercise. Your diet is very important, after changing my diet from all the nasty snack cakes, condiments, dips, soda, salting my foods, fried foods and so much more I feel great and seem to have more energy. Even if you don't have a lot of money make it a priority to eat better when you can. Portion your meals, don't go for seconds or thirds because I was real bad at that! Knowing that you're treating yourself will ease your mind. Strengthen your spirit. And make a healthy body.
4. Exercise your body:
It don't neccearly have to be a workout it could be an active hobby such as for me, its parkour, parkour tag, Frisbee, or mountain biking so it can be a hobby as well, just keep that body moving. It doesn't really make a difference if its cross-fit, working out in the gym, dancing, yoga, zumba or running. Just get out and move that body, we were created to move around. Doing so will ease your mind where you can focus easier and very well come to a solution. Remember, "angry mind is a narrow mind" You can always join in the community, maybe it's a church gig, some sort of charity or a book club, the parkour community, who knows possibilities are endless.
I don't really have to tell you this, after your filled day of crazy bananas your body is probably begging for it! However I know so many people who sleep..way too much! Whether that's taking naps during the day or getting ungodly amount of hours of sleep. Sleeping only puts things off and could very well make you sleepier. The average human sleeps 61% of their life, that is crazy to me! I don't know about you, but i don't want to sleep my life away like that, you could miss out on something and may as well live your dreams than living them in your sleep. You really don't need that much sleep so make sure to have and maintain a good sleeping schedule. They say eight hours is the best but I go more for six or seven.
Not all of us are so open and outgoing, I get that. However I am very confident and the reason why, I just don't care anymore. You have to do what is good for you, right? I mean, you dont want to make yourself to be a negative and nasty person, but just doing you is not a bad thing. So the girl denied you when you asked her out on a date, who cares man! There are plenty of other ladies out there or dudes for you ladies. No need to get sad about it just continue on with your life and you never know who you will meet along your journey. Now you have to go up in front of a class or stage and you are all kinds of nervous!!! Well, dont fret man! If you prepare yourself, tell yourself you got this and it don't matter what anyone says, just take it as constructive critisim and you will do fine. Keep im mind, this is your life to live, your journey, no one eleses. So, make yourself happy.
7. Helping/Giving back to others:
I don't normally tell people who I have helped or what I do because i don't think it should be shared to the public, because then you're just looking for attention and that's just bad energy. You don't see Clark Kent publicizing what he does or who he saves now do ya? True hero's stay in the back and get the reward of knowing they have made a difference in the world. However I believe if you are able to help someone, then you should no matter how big or small. I enjoy helping other people, makes me feel good inside whether that be taking couple shopping carts from where I parked alll the way to the loading station inside the store or giving someone couple extra bucks so they can make a bill or whatever they need it for. No matter how big or small, it's always a delight seeing someone else smile big knowing you changed their life and made a difference in it no matter how big or small.
8. Love yourself:
I love everything about me, body, mind, spirit everything! Just because someone else thinks you're ugly or annoying, doesn't mean a thing! Your failures or appearance to that person is someone else's attraction. So you are a silly or clueless, one person may find that very annoying but another may find it cute. One person may find a failure of yours pathetic, but another will find it as a lesson learned. So, just remember, love yourself for who you are and what you are. Don't ever be a fake, let the people see who you are for what you are and you will attract the right people in your life.
I know the best thing is your or my very own success but I don't only go about that, I love and enjoy seeing others succeed as well! It don't matter if my friend graduated from college, or someone is doing well on there business, or if its a family member that finished remodeling their house, or my cousin busting out a double cork regardless of who they are and what they do i love seeing that smile or freak out that they did great and succeeded! :D So, seeing other people make their dreams happen is something I enjoy to see.
I'm sure you all have some past grudges and such but..why? Honestly ask yourself why dwell over the past? I think about my past and compare from then and now, and I have to say, things now are so much better than what they were. All those hard times in the past whether that be a past relationship or maybe a job has taught me some great and valuable lessons in life today. So, don't dwell over the past because all that thinking power could go to planning your future and living in the now.
Science suggests that when you smile, whether you're happy or not, your mood is elevated. So smile all the time if you can! Smiling is like a feedback loop: smiling reinforces happiness, just as happiness causes smiling. People who smile during painful procedures reported less pain than those who kept their facial features neutral. Food for thought! :) Smiling is also a positive thing, so continue to smile you never know, you may have just made someone's day by smiling.
