Welcome to Baltimore, Maryland
Baltimore is a major city in Maryland with a long history as an important seaport. Fort McHenry, birthplace of the U.S. national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” sits at the mouth of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Today, this harbor area offers shops, upscale crab shacks and attractions like the Civil War–era warship the USS Constellation and the National Aquarium, showcasing thousands of marine creatures.
What's a Brony?
About three years ago if you asked me what a brony is I wouldn't have the slightest clue although I met one and found out about a whole new community based fandom that I had no idea about, it reminded me of my parkour familly. A brony is a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that is outside the target demographic of little girls. Most bronies are from the ages 18-25 and often reaching older. I actually met a retired vet who was 62! Bronies are generally friendly teenagers and young adults who simply aren't afraid to admit they enjoy a show. Thankfully before I went to a convention I kinda brushed up on Pony 101 because my friend Wolf is a brony so he gave me some information and from there I just did my own browsing.
Who's a BRONY?
Anyone can be a brony! I have met some of the most awesome yet talented people who are bronies. Unique as they are different they enjoy the show and filling their lives with happiness, positive energy, and love. Bronies create and enjoy fan-made projects on a daily basis. The minimalist design of My Little Pony makes it extremely versatile and fun to incorporate with all sorts of media such as, animation, music, art, crafts, cosplays, fan-fiction, and so much more. I met this really awesome band called, The Shake Ups which put on a magical show for us during the con at Pony Palooza! I'm no brony but I did enjoy their Equestrian Smash song so jump to Itunes or visit their website by clicking on the photo I got to grab with them. I met this really cool dude in the Market Place where you buy all the arts and crafts so I stopped by ARTWORKTEE booth to grab the Official BronyCon t-shirt so don't forget to click that picture of me in front of their booth to check out more pony stuff and maybe even chat them up because they were some cool dudes, thank you so much for the shirt guys! Wolf and I were walking around and I noticed bright yellow so I went to the lady to ask if I could grab some photos of her because her cosplay was super legit, Runo did very well and one of the most sweetest sweet peas there! Thank you so much for letting me take your photos, it was so fun to hang out. Click on her Flutterbat photo to check more of her out! There's so many people who are selling their art work and crafts like some Fluttershy ears that Wolf grabbed at a booth so click on the picture of Wolf in front of their booth for more goodies especially if you're looking for ears from ponies to elves and even wigs! Let's not forget the community either because they are some amazing people as well, spreading reviews, awareness, education and much more, like KB! Visit her YouTube channel by clicking on Wolf and KB her self!

What is MY LITTLE PONY | Friendship Is Magic |
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated fantasy television series aimed toward children developed by Lauren Faust. The series premiered on October 10, 2010 on The Hub cable channel. I specifically remember this cartoon because it was around the same time with Power Puff Girls. The show starts off with a willful unicorn named Twilight Sparkle as her mentor Princess Celestia guides her to learn about friendship in the town of Ponyville. She quickly becomes friends when she meets Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkle Pie each represent a different facet of characteristics. These set of ponies travel on adventurous expeditions together, working out problems that pop in their own friendships while helping Equestria. Despite the shows target demographic of young girls the show has gained a large following of older viewers mainly between 18-40 of age which are known as bronies. With this new set of viewers it has opened merchandising opportunities including books, apparel, trading cards, and lets not forget the community that it brings with it. I can officially tell that there is something pretty cool about BronyCon and it actually reminds me much of the parkour community. We are so loving and accepting to each other and always teaching and learning from one another.
Learn More Of The Culture At A Bronycon
I went to a bronycon just last week and I learned way more than what I thought! A bronycon is one giant event and largest event for all bronies to go too, and from what a brony said to me, "one place I can go where I'm not judged" which is sad but really cool because there is a raising community springing up and it will get bigger as the years go. If you're a fan or a brony then this is the place for you to feel accepted and have a lot of fun and for those who aren't you could learn a lot. In 2011 with 100 attendees with small standards and in 2016 it kicked off to much more with fandom guests, artists, panels, gaming, and more and reaching over 7000 attendees from far and wide. At the closing ceremony at this years BronyCon there were over 8000 who attended and over 34,000K raised for children's cancer research which is a record! I have officially learned what an "OC" is and how much detail actually goes into creating yours like the "cutie" mark, color scheme, and so much more. At a BronyCon you will meet so many different people and gain new friends and maybe even business opportunities like networking because there are many different people from famous YouTube's such as InkRose which she will talk about her upcoming events and cons, tutorials and much more so click on the picture of her and I down below!
A BRONY TALE
Vancouver-based voice artist Ashleigh Ball has been the voice of numerous characters in classic cartoons such as Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Cinderella and more. When Ashleigh was hired to voice Apple Jack and Rainbow Dash for Hasbro's fourth series to use the My Little Pony name - My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - she had no idea she would become an Internet phenomenon and major celebrity to a worldwide fan-base of grownups. This documentary gives an inside view of the Pony fan-world, and an intimate look at the courage it takes to just be yourself...even when that means liking a little girls' cartoon. Thankfully Wolf told me about this documentary while it was on Netflix year back and I personally found it interesting so I'd give it a go and see what you think.
