WELCOME TO ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
St. Louis is a major city in Missouri along the Mississippi River. Its iconic, 630-ft. Gateway Arch, built in the 1960s, honors the early 19th-century explorations of Lewis and Clark and America's westward expansion in general. Replica paddlewheelers ply the river, offering views of the arch. The Soulard district is home to barbeque restaurants and clubs playing blues music
Ryan and I met up shortly after I got off my shift at Best Buy to get lunch together so we got some Little Caesars pizza and went to Blackburn Park to eat. It really sucks that he's going to be leaving missouri to go to Hollywood to pursue his dreams in parkour and stunting. I can't be more proud of this dude so I can't wait till he gets his life going, especially since he can support me - hahaha!
meantime while we wait for our two mutual friends to finish with their day we called Dan Wiggins, Part of Triumph Freerunning to hang since hes close by. After we finished eating and talking Ryan and I went to these abandoned warehouses close by near where the kingshighway skate park was. IT's best to get as much time as I can here because they are destroying it in spring 2017 to make apartment complexes of some sort.
Let's Get Lost somewhere
Ryan is only here for four more weeks so even though we have been here many, many times before may as well take advantage of these warehouses while they are still up. IT's sad to see it go away but it's bringing homes for more people so that's pretty cool! While there is still some daylight we take advantage of the roof tops first exploring while we make great conversations, like how many people in the world spend their whole life working for someone or something. Put in their shift and then go home and rather watching TV or doing nothing productive while that energy can be spent on working on themselves, whatever that may be.
You truly get what you work for, not what you wish for.
After some night fall we decided to go inside the warehouse by doing the limbo in a small window - haha! When we go in it's very dark, very cold and grimy inside and of course wet considering all the snow, ice, and rain we have been getting in the past week-week and half. In my opinion this calls for a great opportunity to get some photos so Ryan and I explored some areas of this place we haven't been and stopped where we found some great places for some shots. If you enjoy these photos then I encourage you to go check out my portfolio page. After a few hours here waiting for two of our mutual friends to get finished with their day we met them at their house and we showed them the abandoned school and if you have been reading then you know I recently went there, find that blog on my website in WANDERING WEDNESDAY'S.
