Pokedex Found A Gloom Day
The alarm rings at 8AM. I turn over and silent the thing and go back to sleep. Ryan comes in and says, "beep". I suppose my ten minutes is up - haha! Hey guys! Welcome back to another Wandering Wednesday! Now, if you're new to this blog or maybe you seen my YouTube channel first then let me tell you what you're getting yourself into. Wandering Wednesday’s are where I record my days activities and festivities including where I eat in a VLOG format on my YouTube series that I have been actively publishing every Wednesday. Wandering Wednesday's are for those people who are maybe visiting St. Louis or touristing here (touristing a word) and don't know what to do or where to go. Maybe you already live here and you've never seen St. Louis like I have and want to try. They are expressive blog posts where I take a tour of the world and you can follow my journey, where you can read about what I do, where I go, what I eat, and more.
I planned to get up early but went back to sleep for about an hour which was totally OK because today was a scout day for finding locations so we weren't in any kind of rush. We wanted to have most of the day which we got but the day was super rainy, super gloomy and wet. We have had rain for like a straight week here so everything was muddy and slick so we took the day to just look for places in downtown to come back to a later time. We don't go straight in at first, we kinda walk around and see what the place looks like from outside scanning the preimeter and slowly work our way towards the inside. We come to a lot of places that are abandoned but sometimes there are operational businesses next door or around busy roads so we have to be careful of others seeing. We hit up some super cool spots more towards the river so we found a parking spot and went on foot for awhile till we got super cold because it was a wet and cold day. We stopped by this super cool bar to warm up and met a rad chick named Sammi and she was super cool. Gave me a water without even asking! That's awesome!
A Storm Is Gathering, Fear It's Fury!
After leaving the bar and scouting towards the river we hopped in the car and went to this random gold star on google maps that Ryan had starred for the longest time. We didn't know why he starred this or what it could be so why not at least check it out? We needed some indoor things to do considering the weather so this abandoned facility of some sort was all inside so it worked out going here. I'm not really sure what this place was but from seeing the tires all over the place kinda looked like a tire repair shop like this small local tire and rim place in Sullivan. They're called Harry's Tire and it was the go to place to get new or used tires, rims or any kind of tire work, they were the dudes to go to. Before checking this place out we had to sneaky since it was next to a busy road so getting in we had to plan it just right when no cars were swooshing through. Once we got in there were fences, rubble, and the building itself keeping us hidden so we could do pretty much whatever we wanted so we decided to check the the bigger building first and it looked like there was lifts on the ground to heave the car in the air. We continued through being quite because I could have swore I heard slight talking and some foot steps but as I looked out I didn't see not a person, so heck! We continued to shoot and explore the inside stopping here and there for some cool shots making our way to the other side where the smaller building was. Did you watch the VLOG and see where Ryan was doing that side flip? Well, just behind him were a set of staircases so shortly after filming there we wanted to check out the roof but the second level of the building had a tent in the middle of the floor and we heard some talking! So we really didn't go any further than just the lower level because we really don't want to get shot so we left that area alone. But! I knew I heard some chatter and foot steps - haha! We were here for a good awhile and right when we were about to leave a storm rushed in and starting to rain where we just went back to the apartment and ended the evening with a movie!
